Like my other pair of 2XU's, the material and stitching are top notch, and in my humble opinion, 2XU uses a better material and seems to have worked with a manufacturer that puts a little more care into their production than some of the competition. I have only used these a few times for recovery, however, I have nothing but good things to say. I definitely spring back a bit better from long runs and heavy sessions in the gym when I use these as opposed to grabbing a shower and calling it a night. And yes, whether I am using compression gear or going old school, I definitely cool down, stretch, and ice!The only reason I gave these four stars as opposed to five was the fit in the calves. The 2XU Elite fit nice and snug around your calves, like a compression sleeve. The 2XU Recovery pants feel heavier and a bit more firm around the quads and through the knees, and while they are by no means loose around the lower legs, they do not feel as tight as the Elites. So, while I may not get a backup pair of the Recovery pants until these wear out, I do think that they are a solid product and I am happy to have an extra pair of 2XU's on hand after a long run. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit pricey, but great product nonetheless... *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2015* Due to a specific medication, I needed a reliable means to combat the formation of blood clots in my legs. I ordered these compression tights to in order to stop any further formation of dangerous clots as well as being able to take full advantage of the other benefits wearing tights have...that being increased arterial blood flow to my legs and the reduction of muscle vibration during exercise. These tights fit, well...tight. Very tight. But being that they were meant to fit this way, I would say they fit absolutely perfect. They are also extremely lightweight and comfortable. If not for the consistent tightness, you wouldn't know you were wearing anything at all. Its a strange feeling when walking out my front door, as I feel like I'm going outside naked. I'm so used to the normal binding and considerably heavier weight that jeans and even shorts bring. They're that light and make me feel totally free, completely unincombered. The quality is first rate and is slightly better than the Sub Sports that I also purchased. These do not demish my appreciation and like for the Sub Sports brand however, as they provide an equal amount of comfort, but slightly less compression. This does not mean I won't be ordering Sub Sports again either, as they are priced far, far cheaper than these 2XU's while still providing more than ample compression to get the job done. Thus, during high periods of physical activity, I will probably wear the Sub Sports whereas during low periods I'm inclined to wear these, as the increased tightness does a better chance of eliminating the formation of blood clots. I could switch to the medical grade tights, but they're no tighter, look awful, and are of far lessor quality. Being that my condition is a more or less permanent (at least for the next few years), I have no problem wearing compression tights on a daily basis. They really are that comfortable, and depending on what you purchase, you can wear them by themselves or under jeans or shorts. I will also be buying a third brand soon, Skins a200/a400, and will report on those after receiving and wearing them for at least a full night and day. Do I recommend this product? ABSOLUTELY!!! The other tights I've used previously began to show wear at the seams almost immediately, and were generally made of material that was either too thin to provide long term recovery compression, or too thick to be worn under clothing. These tights from 2XU are the perfect "Goldilocks" product I have been searching for. Just perfect!I'm 6'4"/200lbs and ordered a size Medium Tall. They fit perfectly! They do not sag at the crotch, and the waste band/ankle openings are the absolute right size for me. And the recovery compression these tights offer is unlike anything I've experienced before. The first time I wore them was after a seven mile run, and I kept them on for about 12 hours (slept in them). Besides being so comfortable I really did not want to take them off in the morning, I had virtually no muscle pain the next day. That is a first! There is no question I will be buying more of these in the very near future.One other thing I want to point out... I have an insanely long daily commute to work. I'll often be in my care for 90 minutes each direction. If any of you have a similar commute, you know full well the muscle pain and stiffness you have at the end of the day. I started wearing these tights during my commute each way, and can honestly say that when I arrive at my destination I have absolutely none of the discomfort in my legs that I used to have. I feel completely refreshed. This was definitely unexpected, and could possibly be a life saver for me. DVT has been a growing concern of mine because of how much time I am cooped up in my car every day, but these tights have already removed every symptom I was having.
