I also highly recommend the solutions to it, because they are concise and clear, and help to better understand the theory. No errors which makes the book reliable and suitable for independent learners. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely Useful For Preparing for the AP Test!! *by R***G on Reviewed in the United States on 13 December 2019* When I bought this book, I was a sophomore preparing for the AP Calculus BC Exam, confused about many topics that would be covered in the exam and needing more practice to improve my speed when solving calculus problems. Before purchasing this book, I would oftentimes not be able to finish the last few problems on my math test, or rush through and make careless mistakes on many of the easy questions.Therefore, as I was looking for a concise yet intensive set of calculus problems that would help me practice for the AP test, I came across this textbook, and the changes came quickly. After finishing only 3 out of the 6 practice exams in the book, I was able to not only finish my math tests before time was called, I would have extra time to check my answers and fix my careless errors. My teacher was no longer disappointed in me after every test, and I was able to raise my grade to a desirable point by the end of the year.I quickly learned that the key to doing well in calculus lay not in a person's "smartness" or in their "natural inclination" for the subject, but in repeated practice, and this book provides exactly that. Working through these problems will increase speed needed to answer questions on the AP test and prevent careless errors such as miscalculating the derivative when using the product rule (tip: it helps to write out the formula as "this prime times that, plus that prime times this" before calculating so it is easier to trace errors).I must say, however, that the pièce de résistance of the book is the cover, which not only gives color to the textbook and makes it more appealing to the reader, it also contains a simple drawing of a boat that reassures the student that calculus is not as hard at they may think, and that they have support when trying to find their way in the vast ocean of this seemingly difficult subject.This book was one of the main reasons I was able to successfully able to achieve a 5 on the AP Calculus BC Exam, which is notorious for being one of the most difficult AP exams. I highly recommend this book for both preparing for the AP test and for studying for the AP Calc BC class, and assure readers of this review that once you start doing problems in the book, you will not be able to stop! The book integrates a joy of calculus in you that is difficult to remove, even after a long, Constant period of time without pursuing the subject.Best of luck to all to those aspiring to take the AP Calculus BC test, and once you reach the exam room, be confident, because this book is more than enough practice than you will need to ace the exam. After taking the Calculus BC test this year, I noticed that many of the problems in this book were similar to the ones on the actual test and trained me to quickly identify which steps to use to approach and solve a variety of problems. In addition to the sample exams, the book also contains a list of EXTREMELY helpful tips that I couldn't find in other prep books. The list of formulas and definitions in the back of the book refreshed my memory before the test as well.Another reason why I love this book so much is that the big spaces between the problems not only allowed me to have a lot of room to do my work but also let me have space to mark, star, and show detailed steps right next to the problems that I needed to review again.
