Ive contacted the company to see what they say and hopefully provide a replacement or refund. I've seen others experiencing the same issues. Until I hear back from this company I can only urge you to avoid this product, but Ill update with the outcome of this mess. 60$ is too much for something that will only last a month at best.Original review:Id say this is about a 3.5 for me... about 3 days into using it I noticed some strange things where I could only use HDMI and one USB but other ports wouldn't work. I almost returned it to amazon, then I discovered that you really need to use your usb-c charging cable plugged into this unit in order to help power the extra peripherals plugged into this device; previously I had the usb-c charger in a different port directly into my macbook. As some others say it does a get a little hot, but I think thats somewhat typical for a device with this many ports and power running through it - Im keeping an eye on it but I don't think its cause for concern. Do note that I picked up an additional, lower-watt (usb-c) power brick for my laptop to power this guy (it was like $20 cheaper)... which still worked, but it would not charge at the same time. Once I got another of the same stock power-brick that came with my laptop, this thing became my best friend. Going on 6 months and no issues. Using all USB’s, the HDMI, and the RJ-45 to a sonicwall which definitely pushes the bandwidth. The USB ports do actually still work. But you have to make sure that's it's plugged into the USB-C port with the Tikko name facing up. I was under the impression that USB-C can be plugged either way, but with this hub, you definitely have to have it facing up. All the other ports seemed to work fine either way, but not the USB ports.Update 2: Yep, it's junk, just like so many reviews have stated. All three USB ports burned out at the same time. And it sucks your battery dry at an astounding rate. I didn't notice that at first, because I always used it at my desk with the charger engaged. So for functionality I would give it a 4. But apparently the failure rate is 100%. Do not buy this.Update: after using for a month, I thought I might have to return it. Sometimes after the laptop has been asleep for a few hours, not all of the ports seem to function correctly after waking up. The audio out especially seems to go dormant. It turns out all I need to do is unplug the hub from the USB-C port and plug it back it in and it works just fine.In an attempt to completely replace my desktop with a laptop, I needed a way to connect my older USB printer and scanner, and I also prefer a hard-wired internet connection whenever possible. I also have an older 2.1 Altec-Lansing speaker system that I love, but needs a 3.5 mm jack. This is the first hub I've seen that has everything I could ask for, most are missing at least one of the ports this one has. The USB, Ethernet, HDMI and card readers work beautifully, and the audio out is the icing on the cake. As for build quality, it feels sturdy and well built. Not overly heavy - you won't have any problem toting it around. But I'm guessing it will last at least as long as the technology that's inside of it. Of note, it does get quite warm - I regularly have the 3 USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, and audio out in use together.
