The exception are these pants. I've worn them through about 250 miles of briars in Southern Georgia doing Gopher Tortoise surveys and my legs are almost completely scratch free! They're especially great against green briar and they hold up to blackberries as well.I will say that the ends near the boots tend to fray a little bit as time goes on, but this only seems to impact the look, not the function of the chaps. The also don't always protect you fully on the knees - something about the tightness when you lift your leg to step over a tall patch of briars causes your skin to be closer to the chaps and a few thorns will get through.Overall I am completely satisfied with these chaps and will order more if my current pair ever give out! As a bonus, they also protect you from those pesky yellow flies and deer flies that Georgia seems to specialize in :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ very good produt, takes a minute to get on and adjusted *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2019* I work in the untility industry and I am always in the weeds (read prickers here) so far these are great but they do take a minute to get on and adjusted.1. they do a great job with ordinary briars, raspberry bushes etc. however wild rose and thorn apple will poke through occasionally.2. another bonus is that they keep your pants relatively dry when walking through wet and dewy stuff3. on the minus they are hot when you are walking long distances, but it is a good trade off.in the past I have used chain saw chaps to protect my legs but these only protect the front of your legs they get tangled up in branches and they offer little or no water proofing they will stop a chain saw so pretty much nothing gets through them and chain chaps are heavier. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent in the wet grass *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2019* I've used these for one season of pheasant hunting in the PNW. It's almost always very wet, slogging through tall grass and brush. I wear some waterproof boots with these and stay perfectly dry all day.
