When we run it is usually on pavements, some unlit so I want to light the path and be seen.** A: Yes, the light is really good for the dog being seen and is quite good at lighting up the area around the dog, you can angle the actual bulb section to get the right effect, but personally I would recommend a head torch for yourself too if you are running in dark areas. **Q: are these durable as we have a sprocker spaniel who loves to go off and explore?** A: Hi, absolutely, mine is still going strong, I would highly recommend. But the collar itself is 40 cm plus we had an extender of roughly 15 cm (sorry, I threw that away, so it's a guess) it's also a bit stretchy. But it's easy to move the light itself to a different collar. Sorry to to be able to be more use .... **Q: would this fit to the front chest piece of a dog harness** A: The Pup Light comes with an elasticated collar that is fed through the plastic mounting. I use this in addition to my dogs normal collar without any problems. With regard to fitting it to the front chest piece of a dog harness there should be no problem with clipping it onto the chest piece strap as the sides are open. The only issue I could see is if the chest strap is narrow there may be a tendency for the light to fall off. The elasticated collar supplied is about one inch wide.
