The carafe holds 14 cups and they aren't kidding! Brews coffee pretty quick, a full pot takes 5-6 minutes which isn't bad. This pot replaces a Bunn coffee maker that made coffee quickly but would pour coffee all over the counter if you made a full pot, I'm glad it's gone. I especially like the ease of programming and now I can set the pot up the night before and wake up to a nice full pot of hot coffee. Another plus is the looks of the coffee maker, not important to me so much but my wife loves it.
