They provide a dispersive medium between a patient’s skin and the electronic stimulation of the WiTouch’s built-in electrodes. Gel pads remove easily from a plastic backing and attach to the unit without any sticky residue or glues. However, if applied properly they are very effective and adhesive and can remain on the skin for as many hours as required. It's important to try and remove as many air bubbles as you can before applying to the skin but they do not hurt to remove unlike some pads on other tens. With a little dampening of the pads they can also be used many more times. 4 stars because they sometimes peel up at the corners on removal from skin contact , however, they can be smoothed out to reapply. ### ⭐ Hard to review them beyond this point as they are the only pads available for what is a great device. *by M***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2016* These pads used to be superb, but recent batches are lasting a lot shorter amount of time and don't offer the value they did.
