Still can be usefull with some modifications. *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2015* It worked well with my S5, but there are some issues.Cons:1. The biggest problem is the middle divider doesn't fully cover the display top and bottom, there are crossover leaks, and it's really skinny, so you have to get the phone perfectly in there to make it look good. Any apps with a grey divider will be seen. I had to use tape to make the middle wider and taller.2. The rubber eye cup is stiff and hurts after a while, and leaves lines on your face.3. Trying to push the bottom and top to fit the phone makes the volume change.4. No magnet or nfc, not really a problem though.5. Not up to cardboard specs.Pros:1. Will conform to most phones not bigger than 5".2. Good solid construction for the money. This will probably last a while. Unlike a cardboard one.3. Head straps work well. Though google says not to use them.4. Everything is adjustable to fit pretty much anyone's needs.5. Good lenses.If the middle divider were full screen and thicker and this came with a magnet and the eye padding was softer, this would be perfect and I would be completely satisfied. Looked around at lots of product reviews on Amazon and finally decided on this one since it is made of plastic and expected to be more durable.Google Cardboard is an AMAZING concept that lets you try virtual reality for a fairly low cost. It feels like the future. Definitely worth a try!! I am an iPhone 6 user and found over ten apps in the App Store that were free and have a good demonstration of what the thingn can do.As for the product itself, like I said I had ordered it after looking at multiple product reviews and got it because it was made of plastic and had head straps which most others don't. After receiving it, while not let's you nicely explore the possibilities of Google cardboard, I feel like it doesn't do full justice to it as there is no NFC or magnets. Some of the apps require magnets.Pros:- made of plastic. More durable than cardboard- head straps- expandable in all directions to accommodate more phone sizes- works with iPhone 6Cons:- no magnets. Some apps require a magnet to work.- sometimes the iPhone slides out. Can be fixed by tightly adjusting the angles.- the sound turns off as the sound button hits a piece of the device when inserting in. Fix is to place the iPhone upside down. This doesn't work with some apps that do not have the screen rotation function in them.- cannot be used with iPhone cover onOverall, I loved my experience with virtual reality so far. Now I am looking for a cardboard that has magnets (or possibly try getting magnets and stick them to this? Will have to look around) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Now I can dial in a perfect focus. There are plenty of nice VR demonstration ... *by L***P on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2015* I'm using my unit on a Samsung Galaxy 5, a phone that's about as large as the unit can manage. At first I was confused because I couldn't set the focus properly -- it seemed as though the lenses were too close to the phone to allow adequate focusing range. Then I realized the unit had been assembled incorrectly -- the adjustable eyepiece holders were installed facing the phone rather than the user (they fit either way). So, rather than return my unit, I disassembled it (four tiny screws) and reversed the eyepiece holders -- this has the effect of moving the eyepieces farther away from the phone's display. Now I can dial in a perfect focus.There are plenty of nice VR demonstration at Google Play and elsewhere that are compatible with this viewer. For people who just want to view a pretty countryside and not shoot anything, I can recommend "Tuscany Dive", a nice demonstration that doesn't require any special viewer features.This is a nice introduction to side-by-side (SBS) viewer technology, reasonably priced, and fits most phones.
