This was important to me because there was less of a chance of the item not showing up or even worse not even working.Fast forward to the day we got the cord. It was packaged perfectly and nothing was damaged. I unwrapped the cord and immediately plugged it into my hard drive and it fit perfectly. Now the biggest test was here, I had to plug it in to see if it would actually work. I plugged it in and powered up my hard drive with no problems. I then proceeded to access the various files on my hard drive and everything was still there and worked perfectly. It has now been several months later and the power cord is still doing its job and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely order something from this company again.
