The unit turns on for aprox 8 hours and shuts down for 16 hour, coming back on at the time you started it, just 24 hours later. Also, the timer diffuses for 3 sec, every 17 min on low, 4 sec, every 12 min on med and 5 sec every 10 min. It is very easy to miss the unit misting at the lowest setting and it is very evident at the highest setting. It is a gently scent and so can be missed if not sitting near. On high, next to the air vents, it permeates better. Again, its a shuttle scent and not at overpowering. The insturctions would be the only thing I can think of that might help, Mine didnt come with an instruction book. But the operation instructions were put on the flaps and side of the box. Need to take the time to read all the Sides and flaps to figure out how to use the unit. It’s electrical powered but you will need a USB to plug in adapter to power up, no batteries or recharging here.
