So far and I have used it daily for a month it has proved effective and does not appear to damage the coatings on my lenses. You apply it to an optical cleaning cloth, apply and then polish with a dry optical cloth. The only drawback is that for the first few minutes after use there is a strong alcohol smell, but that fades. I bought the 2 can pack. I am not sure how much I have used and therefore I am unable to calculate how long a can will last, but it seems like a good and cost effective solution to dirty fingermarks, grease etc on my lenses. Have had 150ml and 400ml from both amazon and mu optician. **Q: Does it prevent from fogging up?** A: No but I have had spectacles for 50 years so you can imagine how many different glass cleaners I have had over the years and SOLUTION spray is the best **Q: Is product safe to use on coated lenses** A: Dear PB,Solution 30 is a great lens cleaner, however, due to the high alcohol content it can be too strong for every day use on coated lenses.It is not recommended to be used directly on the lens; spray onto a clean good quality cleaning cloth.A milder cleaning spray is Calocoat or Caloclear by Calotherm. Twin pack is very good value. The only negative was for Amazon delivery which is normally without fault. Package was left outside a side door and not in the obvious place by the back door under cover.
