With the nights getting colder we were not keen to leave a door or window open so she could come and go as she pleased, and she had also recently become a mousing ace... This "doorbell" seemed like a viable solution, so we bought one two months ago and it has worked well and done the job as hoped. We chose the Pink Panther theme tune from the available audio alerts. The flashing lights accompanying the alarm are bright and difficult to miss, and both the sound and lights last 5-10 seconds after activation. The receiver is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket if it is necessary to move about the house and one is concerned about missing the alarm if it is left in another room. The range seems pretty good (at least 25m, with several walls/doors/sizeable objects between the receiver and the sensor) and the sensor appears to be rain-resistant. Obviously it can't discriminate between objects moving in front of the sensor so there have been one or two false alarms, e.g., when a strong wind was blowing fallen leaves across the driveway. However, that is a minor quibble and overall this has been a very good and useful purchase, which I would certainly recommend. I bought this doorbell about 4 years ago and it's still in perfect working order.
