This 303 Protectant does a similar job, but is more versatile and I think, easier to use. This product has some of the best characteristic of the old product "Back to Black", with none of the downsides. When applying via the spray, it's a bit like WD-40 penetrating oil in consistency, but it wipes to a dry finish. Care needs to be exercised to get an even result, without leaving traces of the fact you've applied something on the surface it's on, but it does leave a very pleasing dark matt finish. The UV protection is a bonus for me, I just wanted a rubber care product that was more liquid than gel, and this 303 meets that need nicely. Having got both the Liqui Moly Gummi-Pflege (incidentally, gummi pflege is german for rubber care) and this 303 protectant, if I was only going to buy one, I think I'd go for the 303 as the fine spray makes it easier to apply than the gel-like Liqui Poly alternative. It leaves a noticeable protective layer as once applied, the plastic becomes a little more slippery to the touch so not something you would want to use on something like pedals. However any other piece of plastic is well worth protecting with this.
