I used some No 8 screws, but the wall plugs were partially into brick and not just solely into plasterboard. I generally use a slightly smaller drill than what is recommended ie 6 or 6.5 for these particular wall plugs, this can depend on what I am drilling into, for hard brick maybe 6.5 for thermal clockwork 6, yo can always make a hole larger if too tight a fit. If just into plasterboard with nothing behind I would not use these at all.
