I labeled them inside on the largest flat surface that can only be seen when the drawer is completely removed. My "victim" had to take out all four drawers to write down the four two-digit numbers. Then he had to put the puzzle back together again and give it to me along with the list of numbers he had found inside in order to receive a "treasure map" leading him all around the house and grounds to finally get the gift. You could also use three letter words like "CAT, ATE, THE, RAT" and the victim would have to collect those from inside the puzzle before shutting it back up. This was a lot of fun both for me and for my "victim" who had to really struggle to collect his birthday gift this year. It's pretty fun to play with, and it looks nice. Due to the item's name "Drawers," I thought I would be able to hide something small inside of it, but that is not the case. It's not too complicated to take apart. However, unless you remember how it goes back together again, it will be tough to put back together!
