Just received these and installed them on my PC. I'm 6' 1" and 245 lbs. My plates are 11x14. My particular PC straps have pads (sort of) integrated into the Velcro strap retention flaps. That padding is thin but the "angel wings" that secure the adjustment straps are sewn directly to the shoulder straps. I thought about removing them but didn't. I installed these over top of them. It was definitely a tight fit but I made it work. The pads are long enough (front to back) to go from plate to plate and after some finagaling, got these to mount covering the Velcro as it should be. The pads/materials are nicely stitched and are decently thick. The Velcro isn't quite as strong as it could be but isn't horrible either. They definitely took the "bite" out of the straps.
