I wanted it for semen evaluation. Using it via looking through the lens worked great. The But.... part is the main selling feature, the camera, it is useless to me as there was no software that came with it and the link to download the manual and the code they give you, neither were available on the site. I could not find the model number that it says on the pamphlet that came with the microscope and there was no where to add this special code. I purchased this product for the camera as my eyes are not as great as they use to be and using a larger screen to evaluate was a big win for me.
