Big testament to mood coming from the gut! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by R***E on 19 June 2022* I got this well because I do not sleep well due to anxiety which happens to be the worst around midnight and a few hours after. Now if you follow my reviews then you know I have been on the hunt for the best natural sleep aid and you also know my deal is skin care and supplements. So lets dig in. The reason I got this one, is I have never tried Bifidobacterium Longum 1714. ( If you want to research this it is essential to include the 1714 as there are many strains that do different things). But first lets start with the first three ingredients. B12, B6 and folate. Most of us get enough of this from our food but if in fact your anemic or suffering from depression or sever anxiety these are the first three to look at to see if it's nutrient related rather than psychological (which still can be nutrient related). And if you are deficient then this is such an easy fix. Now I am borderline anemic and I get tested for these three all the time and they are on the high side so unlucky me as that means my anxiety is not from these three being low. Now we have the longum 1714 which is a beneficial bacteria that does its deal in the intestines. And that deal actually involves sending messages to the brain that change our neural movement and even chemistry. Many studies have showed that it helps us deal with stressful stuff and blow it off. But also some other studies have shown it helps not with depression or anxiety. So the jury is still out on that one. However most studies agree for whatever reason you sleep better-Aha ! And too as far as feeling better mood wise the ultimate judge will be how you feel. I personally have not noticed anything yet but this takes time to do it's deal. But as I see it B-6 makes energy and B-12 gives it to us to use. How is this gonna work ? Well I tried 2 caps and was up all night ! Now considering this gut microbiome thing takes a long time and studies say it takes at least a week for this to get in your system here is my two cents on how to use this. Lets clarify,,, what I am trying to say is,, this is not like taking an advil for a headache where you feel better in 30 minutes. This is hours and days and even weeks of adjusting body chemistry. So to avoid the energy (at night) which does happen pretty fast (hours) I 'm gonna take this at lunch. And measure it (my sleep) for four weeks and see what happens. The levels of the first three ingredients are very safe in this supplement but do not be tempted to mega dose because too high of levels of B-12 and B-6 and folate are dangerous. I give this 4 stars because its a novel and clever way for you to find out if there is something inside you chemistry wise not working right keeping you up. You could do a blood test (for the first 3 ingredients) but still never know if longum 1714 was just the perfect help you needed. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because it advertised as a bedtime supplement. Take at bedtime right ? Perhaps you can but I can't and makes sense,, to at least me,,, why not ! So these caps were easy to take and I noticed no sides and highly recommend these especially if you have concerns your lack of sleep is nutrient or body chemistry caused.
