I checked with the manufacturer and I had the correct version of Bluetooth and Android. We had several email exchanges during which they sent me the instructions (which I already had) and culminated with a step by step guide of how to reprogramme the lock using an app not available on Android. I asked them to send me a replacement but after 4 weeks I'm not holding my breath.
