The price was right and I can change the angle slightly with the shims.  Even with a good saddle fit, it helps to elevate the back of my saddle because my mare has such high withers it is difficult to get saddle fit perfect all the time.  This is nice quality cotton, and it doesn't seem to slip with my dressage pad.  I did some hills as my test and this pad passed with flying colors.Great buy and good value.

    Works great to lift a too wide saddle - no back soreness

I purchased this pad out of desperation as I had an endurance ride coming up and the flocking in my dressage saddle had compressed and it was dropping too close to my horses's withers. Tree is too wide.  With some adjustment of the foam shims in the pad, problem solved!  My horse had zero back soreness after the ride and it stayed put.  The form shims are pretty cheap and flimsy but they work.
