The ones we first put on hives are still in place. We have started covering them with Gorilla Tape to make them last as long as possible, and they scan perfectly well through the tape. We replaced "Serial Number" with our apiary name, so the labels do double duty. The company has labels that are better suited to long-term use outdoors, but we were looking for a relatively inexpensive label this time as we're not sure how well the inventory software we are trying will work for us.
