Not buttery. Chocolate is ho hum at best. Ate 1/2 of one cookie. I don’t know what to do with the rest. Buy Tate’s instead or make your own from the back of the chocolate chip bag. I would give it 10 if I could.After devouring​ my first order I just ordered SIX more boxes!! The presentation, taste, variety - everything is so amazing! Take my word for it -- get one for EVERY hostess on your list. You will be getting phone calls asking for more! My personal favorite is the gingerbread oatmeal raisin...OMG it tastes like heaven! Order at least one box before they are sold out and see for yourself!UPDATE: Taking three stars away because of a follow-up order I placed. Because I loved my first box so much I ordered SIX additional boxes for gifts at a cost of over $350. Five of the boxes contained severely overcooked cookies and one of the five contained only one type of cookie, not the advertised "variety". I subsequently called the store immediately and was given the run-around by an employee who promised to forward my message/complaint to someone who could help me. The promised return call/followup NEVER happened even after I called three more times. Needless to say, I could not give these as gifts, they looked horrible and were very, very overcooked...so I gave away the one box that was semi-good (i.e. the "candy cane bits" were actually visible and not burnt into the peppermint cookies) and tossed the rest. We already ate an entire box ourselves from the first order and there was NO WAY we could eat five more ourselves. I am so, so disappointed...I lost so much money and no one gave a crap or contacted me.
