I just use tap water (the water has no lime in) and it works ok as long as you don’t clean in sunlight! A bit wobbly at full extension but once the brush is on the window it's fine. Only slight issue is that the squeedgy tends to twist on the peg. Might need to pad out the handle to keep it firmly in place.
