I decided to try something different and chose the Sika Pave Fix. I followed the instructions and also looked at the video on YOUTUBE. I spent sometime clearing the gaps between the slabs and then used the Sika Pave fix as instructed. It has worked a treat and I would use this product again. I have now cleared all the jointing out. I found it was breaking up into small lengths and lifting or disappearing into the joints, our contractor had put our paving on large blobs of a mortar mix, leaving huge gaps beneath the edges. He brushed a small amount of sand into the gaps, supposedly to fill them, and then put this Sika product on the top, we ultimately discovered that is was only a thin layer in part, but had filled the gap completely (quite deep) in other parts. This part where it was deep was fine, it held reasonably well, but it was generally such a mess that I have removed it all, and gradually filled up all the spaces between the slabs with sand, which is settling, and having more added periodically, and am now at a point where there is only a little settlement of the sand, and the gaps are stable. I am not sure whether I will go to the expense of this jointing material again. It was an expensive material and cost 1/2 a days work to install, and a lot of trouble to clear up and remove. It looked nice for starters, took longer to set than expected, then broke up where it was not applied in a thick enough layer. Hope this helps **Q: Is there a use by date?** A: Once the internal packet is opened you have to use all of it ( there is 2 packs inside the box) I would not recommend this product as it is difficult to lay and look good , the surface is rough and collects dirt and moss but worst of all it breaks up after a few weeks. It says on the box it does not shrink - it does. It also cracks and lifts up. If the gap is less than 5mm and is a tapered gap it will come out ??? WHY. I have complained and they have promised as a token gesture £50 - I am still waiting for that.!!! It has now been down for 6 months and needs to be redone as it looks dreadful. The distributor advises me to redo it and use fast setting cement and sharp sand. I wish they had told me this before I spent £100 on this crap product and spent a week doing it. Avoid it like the plague **Q: We ordered 6 boxes of this product but only 5 arrived!?
