The book is written for people who are preparing for the 2023-2024 NSCA exam. But it’s an excellent resource for anyone who wants to know how the muscles, bones and organs of the body work. There is also a nutrition /vitamin section. So much better than just googling on line, here you have information than is written by professionals in this field. For those taking the test there are 550 practice questions plus online resources and information to get a free dvd.

I will say I got almost 100% on the foundation section of my exam, so this book is great for that. It however gives you a false sense of confidence and doesn't adequately prepare you for the part that 60% of test takers fail, which is the video analysis and program designing.

This study guide gives great preparation for the NSCA Test. Online flash cards are included and everything is broken down into simpler terms. Science, Nutrition as well as safety and assessments plus exercise techniques are organized smoothly into this guide. I love that it included test taking strategies for me to implement as well as a chapter that focuses on coaching.
