One worked. The other got very hot as soon as I put the batteries in. It melted the sleeve of one of the batteries, and when I popped the battery out that burnt the paper it landed on. Gives false negatives when tested in the same place repeatedly. False positives would be annoying whilst sort of fine, but false negatives are incredibly dangerous if people trust this device out of the box.
