Review: Brilliant refills. - These were bought after having tried an alternative cheap refill which was scratchy and not a great experience. In contrast these refills are solidly recommended. Whilst it should go without saying, you never know, the fit of the refills is perfect. In terms of actual use, the ink flows nice and freely without any blemishes or dry spots. The rollerball is fluid with decent motion and the pen now writes nicely. The nib is a little thicker but I actually prefer it this way and looked for a thicker point. I have been using the refill in a pen at work for several weeks and have had no indication that it is likely to end prematurely or indeed that there are any problems at all. As always, I’ll update this review if anything does happy.

**Q: What is the length of this refill unit..I'm hoping it is almost 4.40 inches or almost 4 1/2 inches? Thanks!  Phil**
A: Full length is 3-7/8 inches....sorry.  I went to the Monteverde website to get information to determine which refill to buy.  Good luck!

**Q: Do you have Red ink refills?**
A: The Super Broad only comes in Blue and Black, no red.

**Q: How does this compare/contrast with the ceramic gel broad refill?**
A: This is an oil based ballpoint refill Gel would be much more liquid and wont last as long. The Super Broad are our go to here in the shop.

**Q: How does it compare to the ceramic gel refill?**
A: I like Monteverde ink refills - very creamy smooth writing. I use various colors too. I also, use fine. I make blueprint style diagrams for home projects and like the smooth texture inks from Monteverde. You do use the ink slightly faster, but smooth... Is my major criteria. I used ceramic gel only once, but the flow felt scratchy. FYI- I do print/ write rapidly. I also like their stylish pens and rotate usage of several M pens purchased over the years.

Looked at Monteverde range because of choice. Offer Broad (which Parker stopped producing) & Super Broad which suit my writing style. Are also very good value. If writing at length or in volume then may perceive a very slight difference over the Parker original but for my money think they more than justify giving them a go.
