I believe they were tropical plants from Asian country (don't remember exactly which country). If I remember right, the first 40+ degrees in Oct killed them all in my yard. But it's so easy to grow them from cuttings that I had cut a few stems off of each varieties and I started them inside. I have good collections of coleus in several pots indoor. In late Spring, I'm planning on put them out in the ground again! It was my first year, but Coleus is the easiest plant to grow indoor and outdoor. I love them! You will too once you grow your own coleus from seeds! ;) **Q: how many varitiys in the mix?** A: I got 6-7 different kinds. **Q: Are these seeds from USA?** A: Yes they're from New Baltimore Michigan **Q: Are these outside plants and do they die in winter and how to take cuttings off the plant** A: That's 3 questions. They can be outdoor plants, but if kept outdoors, they will die in winter. They will be year round inside.
