Though people have used them in shrimp tanks without a problem, others have had shrimp die, particularly if the tablet got stirred up from the substrate (rescaping, fish burrowing, etc). If there's a chance of your substrate being disturbed, I'd recommend going with API Root Tabs instead, as they do not contain copper. **Q: How I use this for my tank 20 gallons** A: Per the instructions: "On initial use or after a major (> 40%) water change, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 US gallons). Thereafter use 1 capful for every 200 L (50 US gallons) daily or every other day. Saw good results in BBA reduction, going grey and dying within the first week. Stubborn, well established BBA is still there but greatly reduced. Rooted and epiphyte plants grew significantly as well even with lower light.
