It's easy to put together and might feel a little flimsy when it's not completely finished, but once everythings in place it's great. We just used some zip ties to keep the top in place seen as it's actually designed to float and my snake absolutely loves it so I'd like to think turtles will too😁 Review: Small turtles only need apply - This dock is suitable for small turtles only despite the basking area size. I have a 4 year old yellow bellied slider and this item is no good for her. She tipped the whole thing over, submerged it, moved it to the other end of the tank and dismantled it within a few hours. The suction cups on the bottom of the posts are very flimsy, and the ramp isn't sturdy. However a few years ago when my turtle was little and light this would have been ideal.
