A: Cannot say. I bought it as a waterproof sealant and for this purpose it works perfectly.

A: 1 Lb. Was more than enough with plenty left over for other jobs

A: Are you talking about a gas line coming into the stove, I’d say yes it can be. If you’re talking about the actual stove pipe that gets hot then no.

**Q: Would this work to fill a 2 inch hole with electrical wires coming through it that is immersed in hot water?**
A: Yes, the only limit to this material is your wallet and imagination,

Wow, wish I had known about this product before! I purchased it after searching for a way to seal a draft coming in around an interior water pipe. The stickiness was very good yet it was easy to work with, and it took care of sealing out the cold air coming in around the pipe, I highly recommend this.
