This edition was re-mastered in digital form, making it practical to incorporate many amendments submitted by physicists over the years, that had not been incorporated in previous editions. I have been dipping into the books over several months, and found them most readable and informative. However having graduated in the UK in the early 1970s, when only SI units were used in scientific subjects, I was surprised to find that CGS (centimetre gram second) units are retained, presumably where he used them in his lectures: the temptation to update to SI, i.e. 'rationalised MKS' units has so far been resisted by the editors. Notwithstanding this feature, highly recommended for anyone interested in a quantum-mechanical view of Newtonian physics - and beyond.
