Unless you have a kitten but even then it would struggle as the poison is in another section of the trap. I hope this helps. They are sturdy traps and also lock shut and can only be opened with a key. **Q: are these waterproof, can be used outside? sturdy enough for a maybe a housebrick on top tp keep them in place?** A: Yes, they can be used outside. The top has a plastic clip to hold it securely.
