This is definitely wide - ample space left on either side of my body. It does weigh a bit more than your typical chair, so it is not one you'd want to have to move around a lot. Everything about it is well made. It came out of the box ready to use, except if you wish to use the cupholder and the little pillow, you would add those on & that is really simple to do. I love having the sun shield and that it clips securely behind the back when not in use. And there is some bend to the shield so you can adjust the tilt a bit if needed. Unfortunately, after about 6 months of use the black plastic trays started to fade in the Florida sun.The biggest disappointment came when the water would drain from the chair after a rain event, the "orange terracotta color" would drain onto our brick pavers, leaving rust stains all over the decking of our pool.We contacted the manufacturer who told us that it was normal bleeding of the finish and that a little bit of oxy clean would remove it. We were told that it would continue to bleed this color and it was normal. We tried their cleaning suggestion but it didn't work and the chairs continue to leave as mess after any rain.We're disappointed in the chairs and the lack of customer service.
