Review: This little baby does everything the ad said she'd do... - I liked the speed at which it was delivered to us (we have a project we have to get into the mail yesterday!) It only took 2 days. I liked that it was easy to figure out - AND THE VIDEO THAT WAS IN THE desertcart ADVERTISEMENT (LAST PICTURE TO THE LEFT OF ITEM DESCRIPTION) WAS EVERYTHING TO ME as I wanted to transfer files from a cassette tape to a USB drive. Even so, I had to study that tape again after I tried to make my first transfer. So here's what I noticed that other customers commented to: A. I accidentally put the a/c cord into the headphone jack. ..which made it seem like the cord didn't work. So I shifted the cord to the hole below and that was the right one. It didn't fit tightly, though. B. To record from the cassette tape to a USB (it shows almost all of the following on their video): 1. First, place your USB stick into the machine on the right side. Slide the right toggle switch, second to the end, to where it says "tape/off". I tried to tape with the switch on "USB/SD" but I got nada. (i found out that button is for you to listen to what's on your USB stick.) 2. Next, push the play button on top, where you want to begin, then 3. Push the button on the left side of the front of the machine that says "REC" and hold it until the red light comes on, not green. You should then be able to hear the tape as it's recording. 4. If you want to make an announcement midway, push the pause/play button on the left front and stop the tape with the stop button on top. Then, push REC on the front left and say what you want to say into the mic. When you're finished, push pause/play on the front left again and "play" on the top to continue your conversion. I'm sure they put all of this in the instructions, but I like to just get started. I hope that helps clarify some points. I think it plays as well as any cassette I ever had. Oh, and when you shut it to begin taping, make sure you press on the top left corner where the sticker says "close here" Otherwise you're going to have problems with the "eject" button keeping the machine open. The "next" button is for toggling between entries. Happy reminiscing!
Review: Awesome Throwback Device! - I love this little thing! I use it like an old-school portable radio; I have all my favorite songs loaded onto a micro SD card and all it takes to play them is the flick of a switch. This is exactly what I had been searching for: an MP3 player that wasn't tiny, that had its own speaker, and that uses AA batteries (a huge plus for me after an extremely bad experience with a lithium battery). It's simple, cute, and takes me back to a simpler time. I can't speak to the cassette feature because I haven't used it, but the MP3 player function is fantastic. This little guy will be going to the beach and everywhere else with me from now on!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you record directly to usb or do you have to record it on to cassette first and then convert it**
A: As a new owner, I am unsure, although i assume you would have to record unto Cassette first, as it states it records from cassette to USB.
Although it must also go directly from radio to USB. Unsure exactly as yet how to answer your question.
Vern

**Q: Can you record your own voice?**
A: Actually you can record your voice on either a cassette tape or on the usb memory stick. I recorded an introduction on the memory stick than played/recorded from the old cassette to the same memory stick.

**Q: Would this be able to play an MC90 mini cassette?**
A: No. Only the standard size cassettes will work on this particular model.

**Q: Tried to record a tape using the USB feature. Upon pushing the record button, it was red for a few seconds then went off. Is the normal?**
A: Is not normal, to record is must be red

### ⭐ Nice but……….
*by M***0 on June 22, 2024*

Nice all in one unit with radio, cassette recorder, and card reader. My only complaint is that it sound very tinny and irritating. Also, it’s glitchy and sometimes won’t read or record card. Don’t buy it.
