Review: No glycerin, great price, it works! - I looked high and low for a Hydroxyapatite toothpaste that did NOT contain glycerin, this is one of the very few (if not the only one) that is glycerin free, if you are wondering why, glycerin coats your teeth and can prevent re-mineralization which would defeat the purpose of this particular toothpaste. I am on my second tube, I wanted to use it for a while to make sure it worked, and it does. The toothpaste is a bit on the thinner side (compared to other toothpastes), which is fine, it does not affect it at all, it works fine, just be aware that when you squeeze some out, it will come out faster than you expect and might even run down the side of the toothbrush, I am frugal with it, I don't squeeze out a bunch of it so it's not a problem. I also "shake" the tube a bit before I open it, since it's thinner, I want to make sure all the ingredients are equally mixed in the tube before I squeeze it out, I don't know for a fact that it does or does not separate, it's just something I do for my own peace of mind. I brush my teeth with this toothpaste and spit it out but I don't rinse, I allow the residual toothpaste to remain in my mouth and on my teeth to get the most benefit from it. I noticed that within a few days, my teeth were less sensitive, I don't have a major problem with sensitivity but I did notice the difference. I feel like this gets my teeth and mouth very clean. I like the ingredients, the flavor is not like other toothpaste, it has more natural ingredients so it doesn't have that blasting, knock your head off mint flavor like so many other toothpastes have, this is more subtle, pleasant. I also noticed that my bottom teeth seem tighter, if I use a different toothpaste for a few days, I feel like my bottom front teeth move a little, not major movement, but it's there. When I use this toothpaste regularly, daily, it makes my teeth feel more tight. Bottom line, I will continue using this.
Review: It reversed two small cavities! - This is really minty! Be prepared for that. I LOVE it. This toothpaste has been a game changer. I think it reversed two small cavities. I was surprised because I had delayed having them filled due to losing my dental insurance coverage and when I went in 12 months later for a cleaning with x-rays and they said there wasn't anything to be concerned about. I didn't probe further but I think it's because this toothpaste as it's the only change I made. I also had significantly less plaque buildup than normal. The hygienist said he couldn't believe it'd been a whole year between cleanings and there wasn't much work for him to do. I don't even floss every day! Very good product. It's a more expensive toothpaste but worth the money!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do ingredients like salt and baking soda harm the oral microbiome?**
A: As with anything, moderation is key. Small amounts of salt and baking soda help stabilize your oral pH, which is beneficial and helps support healthy bacteria. Similar to coffee, one cup may be fine but 10 cups aren’t healthy.

**Q: Is Xylitol safe for Gut Health?**
A: A 2021 study conducted by Xiang, S., Ye, K., Li, M. et al. found that Xylitol is digestible by microorganisms & actually promotes beneficial bacteria and the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), both of which can actually help gut health

**Q: What’s the shape of Nano Hydroxyapatite used?**
A: Fully tested by the EU Commission, our nHA from Portugal (the gold standard for safety & effectiveness) is rod-shaped. With some of the highest, strictest standards in the world, it has been deemed fully safe for human use as an oral care product.

**Q: Is Nano Hydroxyapatite safe?**
A: The EU Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS), studied the nHA we use, nanoXIM, deeming it safe to use up to 10% in toothpaste with no toxic build-up. NHA in the stomach breaks down to calcium & phosphorus. In the mouth, it bonds to enamel.

**Q: Can the acidic ingredients damage enamel?**
A: Our toothpaste is tested at a mildly alkaline level (7.2 - 7.4) and very safe for your teeth & gums. These ingredients are added at less than 1% concentration for a reason; Citric acid (antioxidant), Lactic acid (probiotic), the others are for pH.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It reversed two small cavities!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the best toothpaste I have tried so far in my life (UPDATE: not anymore)
*by T***M on October 15, 2022*

Update for February 11th, 2023: I just switched back to Pearlie White A.R.T. because I tried it for the first time today since October (which is when I bought the toothpaste this review is for). All I can say is: wow, I don't know what I was thinking. Pearlie White A.R.T. is much easier to use because it's a foaming toothpaste, and it leaves my mouth feeling and tasting sanitized. Pro-Mineralizer isn't foaming at all. It just turns into a watery liquid. It also doesn't leave my mouth feeling and tasting as clean as Pearlie White A.R.T. does. It even rinses easier than Pro-Mineralizer. I can get my mouth feeling perfectly rinsed with about half as many rinses, which equates to using about half as much water on rinsing. I've also developed some sensitivity issues due to gum recession on my bottom rear molars over the past couple of months. These molars have severe issues all on their own, but I never had any problems with Pearlie White A.R.T. and so I'm currently hoping that Pro-Mineralizer was the culprit. I'll know within a day or two if it was the culprit, so I'll update this when I know. Regardless, after just one use of Pearlie White A.R.T. again, I immediately tossed my tube of Pro-Mineralizer in the garbage. I'm going to miss the nice tube because it never loses its shape, but it turns out that this is the only thing I like about it. For everything else, Pearlie White A.R.T. wins by a total knockout. Below is the original review, just for reference: Several years ago, I stopped using fluoride toothpaste because I discovered Theodent. I was obsessed over that toothpaste and I thought it was by far the best fluoride-free toothpaste on the planet. Then I tried Apagard Premio and then I thought that one was the best one on the planet. lol Then I tried Pearlie White A.R.T. because it's free of all those harsh ingredients. I mean wow, just look at some of the ingredients in Apagard Premio: Water, Dental Grade Dibasic Calcium Phosphate, Concentrated Glycerin, Medical Hydroxyapatite, Macrogol 400, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, B-glycyrrhetinic Acid, Cetylpyridinium Chloride, Xylitol, Sodium SIlicate, Silicic Anhydride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Flavor, Hydrolyzed Conchiolin Solution, Saccharin Sodium, Trimagnesium Phosphate, Alkyldiaminoethylglycerine Hydrochloride Solution" Almost half of these are very bad. Lots of people think that a mint flavor makes toothpaste sting and tingle, but it's all of the super harsh ingredients, like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. I'm speaking from experience here. I'm almost done with my last tube of Pearlie White A.R.T. and I recently discovered I love Dr. Bronner's soap, and so I thought I'd try their toothpaste too. All I can say is "Meh". It's ok. I took it back and decided to just stay with Pearlie White A.R.T. Yous ee, Dr. Bronner's is non-foaming (it comes out as a paste and turns into a liquid), but I didn't get the feeling or impression that it stayed on my teeth while I was brushing. I think all of it was pooled in the bottom of my mouth. Then I decided to try the toothpaste I'm reviewing here: the Pro-Mineralizer toothpaste. It is just as non-foaming as the Dr. Bronner's toothpaste, but somehow it's far better than theirs. You see, before I turn on my electric toothbrush, I coat my teeth with the toothpaste. That's just what I've always done. With Dr. Bronner's, it was as though that was a waste of my time because like I said, it seems it doesn't stay on my teeth. With this Pro-Mineralizer toothpaste, I don't get that feeling. It seems to "stick" to my teeth until I'm all done (so, until I rinse). That's very nice. That's exactly what I want. I still get a pool of liquid in the bottom of my mouth like with Dr. Bronner's toothpaste, but I can actually see it on my upper teeth before I start actually brushing with my electric toothbrush turned on. So I put some on my brush, spread it all around, and then I turn my toothbrush on and I slowly move from tooth to tooth. As I do this, I can tell the Pro-Mineralizer toothpaste is still on my upper teeth. Again, this is precisely what I want. That's not really why I'm so happy with it though. It is noticeably more effective as a Hydroxyapatite toothpaste than Pearlie White A.R.T. I don't know if this is because it also contains nano-Hydroxyapatite or what, but there's a big difference because my teeth were immediately less sensitive than I've become accustomed to with Pearlie White A.R.T. (so they weren't all that sensitive before but now they're even LESS sensitive and I didn't know they could become less sensitive), and my teeth are also smoother than ever. To test it, I gently grind my teeth. I've learned that this is a good test with toothpaste that claims to strengthen the enamel. This is the way my teeth felt with Theodent and Apagard Premio, except I don't have to worry about ANY of the ingredients! Not even 1 ingredient. It's awesome. I think one customer would beg to differ because they claim, and I quote: "Wintergreen, Himalayan pink salt and bentonite are all naturally high in aluminum". Well good grief, it's not like I'm eating this toothpaste. I use it and then I spit it out! This customer says it's not worth the money and to go with Pearlie White instead. Really? Read on: So about those ingredients: this toothpaste rinses away perfectly very easily. I've never experienced this before! Even Pearlie White A.R.T. leaves something behind even after over a dozen rinses, and I use very warm water. I don't like using cold water to rinse away a soap-like product. It's just how I roll. Plus, I love how it feels to rinse with very warm water. So yes, while Pearlie White A.R.T. is far easier to rinse than most toothpastes on the market, this Pro-Mineralizer rinses away far easier. Every time I used Pearlie White A.R.T., I'd still feel like spitting for a good hour afterward, as though I didn't get it all out. It was like I was continuing to produce suds to spit out. That doesn't happen at all with this Pro-Mineralizer toothpaste. When I'm done rinsing, I'm actually done rinsing and my mouth tastes and feels great. This toothpaste makes me kind of hate Pearlie White A.R.T. now. That's kind of crazy when I think about it because I thought Pearlie White A.R.T. was the last toothpaste I'd ever try, but now here I am saying it's nowhere near as good as this Pro-Mineralizer toothpaste. I'm not fond of the flavor though but again, it leaves my mouth feeling and tasting great afterward. It's like magic: it doesn't taste all that good to me while using it (it's not BAD at all, it's just not wintergreen minty), but after rinsing it's like "Wow! Nice." It makes me think of something that's squeaky-clean and sparkly and shiny because I sense no residue whatsoever. It has a beautiful aroma though, and of course that's because it has a Wintergreen flavor. I love its aroma. So, I knocked off a star for the flavor and also because it was difficult to get the seal off of the opening of the tube. When I finally got it to come off, at least 2-3 pea-sized "servings" squeezed out and were lost. It wasn't from squeezing it; it just came out as though the tube was overfilled, either with toothpaste or with air. I don't know. I am worried though mine doesn't actually contain 4oz of toothpaste because it's lighter than I expected it to be. However, maybe this toothpaste isn't very dense and so maybe it has the consistency and weight/mass similar to whipped cream or something. So maybe it's 4 liquid ounces, but maybe it's like comparing 4oz of water to 4oz of foam. Do you know what I mean? I mean, 4 oz of water is heavier and denser than 4 oz of foam. That's the best analogy I can think of and maybe it explains why this toothpaste is lighter than I expected. Whatever though: I love this stuff. So even if it's not actually 4oz of toothpaste, I don't really care because this is by far the best toothpaste I've tried so far. I still have maybe 20% of my last tube of Pearlie White A.R.T. remaining and I don't want to use it. I think I'll throw it out because I like the Pro-Mineralizer that much. So if it doesn't actually contain 4oz of toothpaste, I'm fine with that because I want to keep having this experience for the foreseeable future. I wish I had a way to tell if it actually contains 4oz though. Oh well. It's awesome toothpaste! Oh, and just a bit of a warning: it's not white toothpaste. You can see it in some of the customer images (just be warned, it's a very negative review just because they got a defective tube that leaked during shipment). It looks like they were the only customer to have that problem though. Hey, if you manufacturer something enough times, you're going to end up with some that are defective. Right?
