Im looking for a varnish that will hold its shape and also dry fully clear.** A: It dries clear and there are various finishes eg matte/glossy in the range, but if you want texture you'd need to look for a texture paste, something with a bit more body **Q: can it be used for sealing 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzles?** A: You could possibly spread it over the jigsaw pieces to seal them, so long as they are not massive heavy pieces and the surface is flat and even. It's quite viscous though so you'd have to be careful not to move the pieces as you spread the liquitex. **Q: Can you use matte gel to vinyl dolls** A: Hi yes & it would leave a nice finish to it, it will also be ready to paint over. But try a small area first as I don't know how old or expensive your doll is. Hope this helps :) **Q: Can this be used with oil paint and does it make it noticeably transparent? ( I'd prefer it to stay opaque) Thanks.** A: I don't think it would mix well with oil paint as it is water based and designed for acrylics. However if you just wanted it as a glaze coat on top for dry oil colours sure...it dries matte as the name suggests.
