I have semi afro-like hair that's been the bane of my life, and rely on blow dry straightening it before further styling. Over the years I've gone through so many hairbrushes of this style - all bought on the high street - and this is the first time I've seen one that, despite appearing to be of a similar design, looked a bit different. Let me tell you that this brush is a WORLD AWAY from the type you can buy at Boots etc. When it arrived it immediately felt so much better in my hand... a bit heavier than the cheap, plasticky ones, and nice grip.... yes, I was looking forward to using this. From the first time of using it's been absolutely great! It doesn't get nearly as hot as the others do, and I've discovered that the longer barrel is a *must* for dealing with unruly hair like mine. I bought it 3 years ago so I've given it a good old test, but it's STILL going strong! I'll definitely re-buy when the time comes to replace it.
