Sometimes I have to press a couple of times to turn on, and make sure to touch it in the right spot. I use it for baking. I would recommend it as I had spent over a year looking for a good set of scales that can be plugged into the mains. This is larger than I had expected, and heavier, but it's good quality and works well.I notice the price has increased for £100 to £145. This is now over priced in my opinion. The £100 I paid was high enough.
