Use control software from Pololu or you can use terminal commands from Pololu that talk to stepper motor... super easy. you can even use python, C to write to the serial commands and talk to the motor controller.. the sound is like R2D2 and its the best thing ever!!! **Q: Does this product comes with a manual on RS232 communication, protocol of writing and reading commands?** A: its only wires are for the stepper motor directly, 2 poles... and for the pull up resistor that does a pull down to gnd when it spins to zero point **Q: Hello, will this unit work as it is or do you need an additional controller?
