## Description

Panasonic genuine ADA29A115 mounting shaft for: Panasonic SD-200, SD-206, SD-207, SD-250, SD-251, SD-252, SD-252WXC, SD-253, SD-254, SD-254WTS, SD-254WXC, SD-255, SD-255WTS, SD-255WXA, SD-255WXC, SD-255WXE, SD-256, SD-256WTS, SD-256WXC, SD-256WXE, SD-257, SD-257WST, SD-257WTS, SD-257WXA, SD-257WXC, SD-257WXE Fitting Instructions: Look at the original shaft position before removing, to ensure you attach the new mounting shaft in the same orientation. The kneading blade may seem loose on the shaft, but this is how it is designed to fit. Do not replace the shaft for this reason. The main reason you would want to replace the mounting shaft is when the seal fails and allows mixture to seep through into the pan, or if the bearing fails and it either seizes or makes excessive noise during operation.

Review: Well worth the effort - excellent replacement - We have had our SD251 for a considerable time. Used 2 to3 times a week it has been perfect. However the shaft at the bottom of the bread pan was getting stiffer and stiffer to turn. (it was not leaking) I thought about stripping the unit down to see if I could free up and lubricate the bearing; but when I saw that the mounting shaft assembly was available for just £20ish and as the pan is still in reasonable order that I would go for it. I am glad I did. This replacement came in a plain box with a new seal, three replacement screws and appears absolutely identical to the original. To fit is relatively easy starting with the pan upside down:- 1. Strip by original off the pan by undoing the three PHILLIPS retaining screws. ( make sure you have exactly the correct screwdriver bit to fit the screws.) ours came out with remarkably little effort but make sure you have the pan firmly held and use downward force to keep the screwdriver well engaged as you turn anticlockwise. 2. You may need to give the old shaft a tap to free it off but the old unit should now come away. 3. Inspect the exposed base of the pan and clear away any debris, clean up the recess for the seal. 4. Place the new seal in the recess, it does not seem to have a specific way up. 5. Carefully position the new shaft unit into place making sure the screw holes are lining up. 6. Now LOOSELY put all three new screws in. Do not tighten but just gently nip them up. Turn the unit over and check on the inside of the pan that the seal is in place. You can just see the edge of it in the well. If any of the seal is protruding into the pan then it is not properly seated and you must start again. 7. Turn the pan back upside down, to make sure the assembly seats correctly go round the screws tightening up each a little at a time until all three are tight. Taking care not to overtighten. 8. The job is now complete, to be sure I had a good seal I filled the pan with water and let it stand for a while. I had no leaks. The pan has now been used a few times and is working perfectly. In my case I notice that the kneading arm is a bit loose on the shaft, this I think is due to wear on the arm, however it seems alright at the moment, I will replace it if it gets any worse. I hope this review is helpful, I am well pleased with the result of fitting this new shaft assembly to our breadmaker. AJC
Review: Good quality and easy to fit - This has brought new life to my old breadmaker pan whose bearing was getting very stiff. It seems well made and is easy to fit. It comes complete with a new silicone seal and three screws. Note that there's only one correct orientation. As other reviewers have said, make sure to use a Philips screwdriver, not a Pozidriv.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this fit the SD-253 (part number ADA29A115)?**
A: Hi Tim. All I can tell you is that the mounting shaft fitted my breadmaker model SD255. Perhaps the 253 is the same except for the seed dispenser. When installing, I found that you need to find the orientation of the shaft on the main mixer which allows the bread bucket to drop in as normal There is only one position. Hope this helps. Ivan.

**Q: Does this part fit a SD 252 Model**
A: So.... We have the SD 254 which I think is pretty much the same, and it fitted perfectly, fixed the problem, gave the machine a new lease of life and came with replacement screws :-)

**Q: How do i know if the mounting shaft on my panasonic breadmaker sd-255 needs replacing?**
A: You will notice that the paddle stops turning whilst the drive mechanism is turning and you will hear the lectic motor. The dough will not be mixed and you will find that the breadmaker has heated everyhting turning it in a glouten mess. The mounting shaft is easy to replace but just check you can see hear the motor and see the drive turning but not the paddle.

**Q: I ordered one of these and recieved a ada29a115 which does not fit my sd253. any chance of getting the correct one?**
A: If you go onto the Panasonic Breadmaker web site and enter the model number of your machine, you will be able to locate the correct part for your machine and order it direct from Panasonic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality and easy to fit

This has brought new life to my old breadmaker pan whose bearing was getting very stiff. It seems well made and is easy to fit. It comes complete with a new silicone seal and three screws. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sound replacement mounting shaft
*by A***R on 22 December 2014*

This item fits a Panasonic SD254 breadmaker perfectly. It arrived in a plain white box with no obvious indication that it was a genuine Panasonic part, but it looks, feels and operates every bit as well as the original. It fits only one way which can be achieved either by lining up the markers or simply rotating it until it seats properly. The screws simply won't go in if you get it wrong. The old unit had obviously failed. It was very stiff to rotate by hand and resulted in odd-shaped loaves. This one mixes the dough perfectly and the resulting loaves are fine.
