Probably ok for simple use, and has a few problems

This does a good job of protecting a mesh bass drum head from wearing out or punching a hole through it, but it made my trigger far less sensitive. With the Pintech attached to the head, I worked on the threshold, gain and velocity settings in my module many times and got it almost passable, but not good enough. It wouldn't pick up most quick rudiment footwork like ruffs or simple, fast doubles, which I had no problem with when the Pintech wasn't on the head.It didn't stick to the head very well, and the adhesive backing wasn't very sticky when I pulled the paper off. The next day when I played again, the Pintech pad was flapping around so I just pulled it off the head. I made an attempt to re-stick it with crazy glue, and it held for another day and then started flapping arond again.Even though it won't work for me, I'd still recommend one to anyone who doesn't need a high level of dynamic performance, because it worked well with simple, solid strokes. I also liked the feel more than I like the bare, mesh head. It felt much closer to a real bass drum, but a little too mushy for me, and tensioning the head differently might've changed the result. That feel might be ok for others, so I won't count it as a negative.I think this pad is a little too thick and although there was a lot I didn't like about it, I'm wondering if their tom or snare pad might do a better job on bass drum, since it's thinner. Regarding the weak adhesive, I think I might've gotten one that has been on a shelf for awhile.Overall though, I'm more likely to try my the trusty, old Remo kevlar patch for the same job than I am to buy a Pintech mesh head saver again. For reference, I'm using a Remo Silentstroke 1 ply mesh head on my bass drum, Roland RT30K trigger, Vic FIrth beater (I like the rebound using the round side), and a Yamaha DTX 502 module connected to Superior Drummer 2.

    Not the best adhesion

Had issues sticking to a Pintech mesh head which is kind of ironic. It would stay for a while, usually while playing but fell off overnight often. Too small for double kick pedals and too big to put side by side and they don't make a double kick option. Still, when it stuck on it did keep the beater from bouncing a lot better than just using the mesh head bare did.
