It’s sturdy as is the handle this was a concern for me but it’s solid. I personally haven’t used it in the microwave or a dishwasher but it is meant to be safe for both so I’ll assume that it is? My BIG issue that weren’t mentioned in the product review & I didn’t see it mentioned in fellow customer reviews was if it would be alright with boiling water poured straight into it & the result (as pictured) is yes it’s absolutely fine with boiling water being poured straight into it (I use it for tea in a Thermos amongst other things) it’s a fine jug, it does its job well.
