    Fantastic alternative to Alcock!

This is a fantastic alternative to Alcock, which has been the only option for years (the seventh edition was good; the tenth edition, not so much). I had given up on even assigning a text for my course because the usual option had declined so much in quality that I did not feel I could justify the students spending so much on a textbook. The examples in Nordell & Valone are up-to-date, their approach is innovative, and the writers clearly care about their audience - both students and professors. I'm especially excited about their second edition (although I do have to say I prefer the cover for the first edition...). I plan to use this text for my course in the future. Thanks for a great text!
