I've used them white grating, zesting, using a mandoline slicer, using a microplane... Really they're great for any time you might accidentally get cut in the kitchen. I have also machine washed and dried them, not had any problems there. They seem durable and are a great price. The only downside is that they run small. I have pretty tiny hands and got a medium based on other reviews. They work exceptionally well. They fit just look rubber gloves so I don't lose any precision or dexterity. I have hit my hand several times with a sharp knife or tool and remain unscathed. I wouldn't try to intentionally cut or stab through them and they should be replaced when you notice that they start to degrade due to normal wear & tear.
