I used this initial run to dig a trench line for Rail Road ties as a retaining wall for my gravel driveway. The assembly instructions were terrible (no details - very high level steps) and modifications were required. The main top support bolt under the hydraulic controls for the top link would not fit in the hole past the machine bolt shoulder (hole too small) and no room for a hammer - had to get the next size bolt smaller. Top link arm would not line up with top link attachment on tractor so we needed to grind the top link section down. Also the provided PTO shaft was too long and required to be shortened. Took 3 of us to man handle plus an engine hoist (this thing is heavy) to remove from the steel crate and attached. Total assembly time was appx 8 hours. Of course someone more familiar (or with a fork lift) could have potentially had the job done quicker. Keep in mind this is built "to fit all" - however slight modifications should be expected. Once assembled and installed the unit works as expected. It is strong and is responsive to the controls (Oh and the left Boom up and down hydraulic control is installed backwards - pushing the control forward raises the boom, pulling back lowers - reverse of the indicated directional stickers). I would have rated this 5 stars if the directions would have been more detailed and all the parts fit correctly.
