A: No, it does not convert impedance.

**Q: is this type plug also used to plug into ground to aircrew connections in Airbus or Boeing aircraft?**
A: No, it is not.  The ground crew connection uses a 1/4" connector.  This is a U174 connector that is slightly larger in diameter.

**Q: The audio plug has stereo conector?**
A: This plug is to attach to a headset.  It converts from a fixed wing to a helicopter port.

This works wonderfully with Bose A20. Tight for. No static. Do not buy the other option on here. This is the one you need if using Bose.

It absolutely does what it's advertised to do. The only problem is the durability. After only a few times of use, there's a massive amount of crackling if the adapter is moved for any reason. It may be that an internal wire has started to short inside the part where the two cables come together. So far, I found that if I clip it to stabilize the adapter to something, it's usable for a while.I suggest it be redesigned to handle being put into a headset case or helmet bag, while still being attached to the headset cable and rolled up for storage. I have a $1,100 set of Bose A20s, so mistreatment is not the issue.UPDATE: So after the first one crapped out because of crackling issues, I ordered another to replace it. What to I get instead? A freaking FEMALE LEMO TO MALE TWIN adapter!! I’m overseas now and the product they sent is absolutely useless to me. I got it the day I left and left it in the shipping packet, assuming that it was the correct one and what I ordered. Get your shipping department STRAIGHT, guys!!
