The design in the US is slightly different and I liked this one better. This is the best coffee thermos I have ever owned. It keeps my coffee HOT for a long time. I sometimes still have some leftover on the way back home from work and it's still warm after over 10 hours. I also like the one-hand flip lid system so that I need only one hand to open and close the lid. The top lid disassembles for easy clean up. I'm so happy that I found this on Amazon again! Other Contigos I have are not even comparable. Must have!
