**Q: Is thise guaranteed**
A: Although I do not know if they are guaranteed, I can say that since I purchased a couple of these at James Smith & Sons, New Oxford Street in London almost 10 years ago, I have purchased approximately 12 more to give away as gifts because it is an excellent umbrella. Not one has ever broken! Highly recommended.

Opens to be very large, so 2 people can fit without any risk of getting wet shoulders. Folds to be nice and compact. It always feels like the splines are fragile, as you twist them when tying the velcro strap, but 3 months later and I'm still good. Light/moderate London winds have been fine so far, but being so large, it is quite easy to get caught in the wind, and it would be nice if the model had a vent to let air out. All in all, very happy, and worth the price, so far.
