My work port replicator has a desktop amp, the other port replicator has a sound bar and the AV receiver is 5.1. This little bad boy means i can just switch between speakers depending on what I'm doing without unpllugging cables. The only negative for me, is that the ports are the wrong way round for the dials. if it's sitting on the desk you're more likely to want the outputs going out from the rear and the inputs at the front, but the outputs are at the front.
